Our nation is so insistant on keeping its head in the sand that even mayors have taken their own initiative to form the Urban Environmental Accord (serious good news guys - check that one out!). Since you and I are not keeping our heads in the sand, here is something easy we can do.

Remove Your Car's Roof Rack When Not in Use

Even empty racks increase aerodynamic drag and boost fuel consumption. If the racks are permanent, factory-installed units, the extra fuel cost will be minimal.
